A bomb blast outside a Shiite Mosque in Khaibar Pakhtunkhua’s Hangu left atleast 24 dead and 35 others injured, on Friday 1st February.
The blast occurred when Shiites were leaving the Mosque after Friday prayers. The D.P.O. has confirmed the death statistics.
Security forces and rescue teams have arrived on the scene. The bodies of the martyrs are being shifted to the G.H.Q. Hospital whereas the injured are being taken to hospitals in Kohat and Peshawar. Emergency has been implemented in all hospitals where the injured are being treated.
Security forces have surrounded the area completely and people are not being allowed in.
Another Four injured from among the victims of blast of Hangu's Jamia Masjid Faizullaah embraced martyrdom in different hospitals.
Thus the numbers of martyrs now stands at twenty eight. It has been learnt that the burial of martyrs is being continued in different areas.
“It was a suicide attack which targeted Shias but Sunni Muslims also fell victim since their mosque and some shops were also very close to the site,” said Saeed.
“The Shiite and Sunni mosques are very close to each other, and the explosion took place just as Shiites were coming out of the mosque and Sunnis were going into their mosque to say Friday prayers,” said police official Imtiaz Shah.
Imtiaz Shah said the bomber had detonated 7kg of explosives packed in his suicide vest when people were coming out of the mosque.
“We have found the head of the bomber who had come there on a motorcycle,” DPO of Hangu Mian Muhammad Saeed told AFP.
At least 7 Sunni Muslims are also among the victims.

Saudi-Backed Terrorists Kill 4 Shia Muslims in Karachi
Fore Shia Muslims have been killed in Karachi after the terrorists of Lashkar-e-Jhagvi attacked on them on Friday 01st February 2013.
48 year-old Syed Ali Hassan Naqvi s/o Syed Lateef ul Hussain was targeted in Korangi Town #4, near Bismillah Bakery. He has been shifted to the Jinnah Hospital.
Asad Ali Naqvi was the second Shiite martyred in Karachi.
42 year-old Mahdi Abbas Zaidi was killed in Karachi’s Liaqatabad Post Office. Terrorists of of Sipah-e-Sahaba shot martyred Abbas Zaidi in Liaquatabad, district central of Karachi on Friday. The armed terrorists opened fire upon Abbas Zaidi near Post Office Bus Stop of Liaquatabad. As a result of firing, Mr. Zaidi was critically wounded. He was shifted to a local hospital for treatment. He embraced martyrdom succumbing to the fatal wounds.
Noted Shia leader Iqbal Masood was shot martyred in a targeted attack of Saudi-backed terroristsin Karachi on Thursday. The notorious terrorists opened fire upon Iqbal Masood near at his home Landhi 2 near C-1 Area District East Karachi. He received three bullets on his chest and immediately shifted to the local hospital, where he embraced martyrdom. Iqbal Masood was the former Vice President of Markazi Tanzeem-e-Aza and Chief of local Matami Anjuman Tableegh-e-Aza Landhi.
Shia Genocide in Pakistan have claimed 120 lives of innocent Shiite Muslims in last month January 2013.
About 150 Shias have been killed by Saudi-backed terrorists in 32 Days across Pakistan on account of Shia Genocide.
